That Which Wills, pages 13, 14, 15 and 16. [archives]
Sorry for the extreme delay in getting the final four pages to you. Life has been tough. That being said, thank you for your patience and for joining in on this little romp with Muun and I! This comic was short, sweet, and fun for the both of us, and we hope it was equally so to read it. It was originally conceived for the 2011 Shousetsu Bang*Bang artist special but I wasn’t able to make the deadline. I wanted to see this finished anyway so it finally is.
Special thanks goes out to Airy, our intrepid letterer, who is a dream and I can’t compliment enough (and if you haven’t been checking out her lettering commentary/tutorials, you are missing out!). Regards also goes to SJen, who helped out by doing a large chunk of the color flats for me.
To answer some questions we’ve been receiving through these updates:
- Yes, we ARE planning a print of this, of which we are prepping for right now. We have tentative plans—on top of the 17-page story—to include a bonus comic, a text side-story written by Muun, and gallery of artwork include concept art as well as some extra saucy things exclusive to the print. We are planning it to be 48 pages, though we haven’t finalized it yet—but that’s a lot of bonus stuff for the print, is what I’m saying.
- Yes, the world of TWW has been expanded and developed, and yes we have ideas to continue doing short stories set in this world which will include an expanded cast. When, who knows, but there are plans. We fell in love with the world, too.
- From here on out, though, we’ll be leaving off the TWW-verse to work on another comic, Small Town Witch (which you may have seen me drawing a lot of), which is something both Muun and I are excited to crack our knuckles and get down to. More news on that as it comes.
PM reblog, for those that might’ve missed it. I saw a few people wondering what had happened to this one.
Our sexy demon story That Which Wills has finally wrapped up! For a one-off that was started largely on a whim (and originally a silent piece) I’m really happy with how it turned out. So if you like Chira’s art, you like good looking demons and wizards doing sexy things, please have a look.
Korra had such incredible potential, but the finale just left me disappointed. Chira explains it so well - exactly EXACTLY what the issues are. Obviously, SPOILERS if you haven’t seen the whole series.
Hahahaha ever since Saturday the Korra finale seems to make me angrier and angrier. As a storyteller and as a fan of solid storytelling, it is an atrocious mess! I stand by the creators are amazing directors, amazing concept artists, amazing producers, but wow are they terrible writers. They have absolutely no understanding of dramatic convention, and so the first season of The Legend of Korra suffered greatly from terrible execution, and the core ideas were so good it should’ve been a gamechanger. It should’ve been the most brilliant thing on television and instead we were given a 12-week narrative case of blue balls.
Disclaimer: if you enjoyed/love/fanatic about Korra, by all means continue to do so! I enjoyed a lot about Korra. In fact that is why I am so frustrated. But that aside, this is meant as a critique and a dissection and as such you can take it or you can leave it. Nothing I have to say will change the show, nor will anything I have to say will have any effect on what season 2 will bring. Mostly I have been ranting about it to everyone on a daily basis since Saturday and this is my way to finally just. get. it. all. out. So this is me shouting into the ether for my own cathartic glee.
Everything you guys do together is magic (*3*)
So this is a comic that really should’ve been finished a long time ago. I want to finish this up! And I know a lot of people have been excited for this, and I’m tired of this comic being in limbo, so after talking with Muun here’s what’s going to happen: gonna release two pages every Wednesday! Because why not at this point. Please click here to view the archive.
Updates will be notified on this tumblr of course. I’d also recommend checking out the rest of the Little Foolery site as well, as it was updated today with a bunch of new stories and artwork!
