Of course Border Terriers are still alive in Kindling. Their tenacity is well-documented.
Not every breed was so lucky, however. To survive The Long Winter, dogs either needed to be useful enough to not burden surviving humans or resourceful enough to fend for themselves. Sorry Pugs.
Oh, and our hero finally has a name: Foundation Burkhart. Which is nice, since the label “hero” might not be appropriate once you actually get to know him.
